Let there be Earth, Wind and Fire

What great memories I had when I got to meet and hang with Earth Wind and Fire. These guys are allot of fun and had the room jumping.  The 70’s were a great time for music but not for fashion.  Thank god these guys sounded better than what they wore on stage. Click here to see the other...

Fashionada

Fashionada is a event that local Atlantans put on to raise money for local charities and feature local talent.  I was asked by my friend Jane Monzures to shoot it and I have to tell you that I had so much fun shooting behind the stage as well as the front of it. What goes on behind the scene is just as interesting as what the audience sees. Jane and Holly Firfer were the hosts of the show and Jane featured her own designs made from mens ties. Kool is Cool

Shooting bands today have become a thing of the past. They don’t allow it anymore except for the first three songs and then they escort you from the venue.  My corporate gigs are more intimate and I can usually get permission to shoot without any conditions.  I was in College when Kool and the Gang started and they are as good now as they were then.  Kool is still the leader and he still as “Cool” as ever. Because the people that are going to see John of God are very sick, I chose not to show them as much as the beauty of Brazil. The fantastic sunsets Click here to see the other...

Like Father Like Son

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot the last couple years for the PGA Father/Son tournament.  This tournament is not held any longer due to the lack of sponcorship. This was a great event to shoot because I wasn’t there to shoot the golf. I was there to capture the relationship between the father and sons playing.  For this blog entry I decided to only show Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer and their kids.  I have many other shots of the other golfers that I may do another entry in the future.  Jack and Arnie are icons that used be major rivals and have now become very good friends and so have their sons. What a great experience to have recorded these last days of them playing together. Jack and his son and Arnie and his grandson Click here to see the other...

Behind the scenes with Larry King Live

This is a behind the scenes view of the last days of Larry King Live.  Larry hosted his show for over 25 years that earned him a Guinness World Book record for the longest single hosted television show.  After the show was off the air, the set was dismantled and sent to the Newseum in Washington DC.
